Let the Journey Begin

  Our first walk is In Ireland and is called the Wild Atlantic Way. It covers the length of the West coast of Ireland running from Malin head, the most northern point in the country down to Cork on the South coast. The photo above is of Malin head. Those of you who come from Ireland might remember getting ready for school or work and just before the 7:30 AM news there would be the Sea Area Forecast, “From Malin Head to Fair Head and down the Irish Sea the winds will be Gale force”. Does anyone remember? The journey as Mapped by World Walking is 938 kilometres, If you followed the coast more closely the journey would be 2400 km. We have a very jagged coast. This is the longest coastal walk in Europe. On Saturday evening between us all, the Road Warriors have walked 46.4 K and we have completed 5% of our journey.
